Andrew Swaine recently talked with Elizabeth Adele about her
new Pin Up line of hip clothes. He also got her to model some of
her styles. Here's what she had to say about her new line...
It all began with a pair of HOT pink converse high tops....style in
my eyes is more than just what you wear, it's how you wear it. That
is one of my main drives in creating this line. when I am designing I like
to think of my final piece and wonder if it can be rocked out. all
of my line is made to make you feel saucy and raw. Lately i have
been leaning towards a punkish atire, but you can't take the hood out of
the girl.
PinUp is not necessarily for everyone.
sometimes one may call some articles a little racy or bold, but that's
exactly what i am looking for. i like to throw a lot of funk into
every piece. some of my simple t-shirt ideas turn into pieces of artwork.
I guess my "f this" personality and daring fashion sense take every piece
to the edge.
I guess it excites me to keep the general
public wondering what I will do next. Mystery I think is one of the
best qualities to have under your belt. " what will she use next??"
If you look close at some of my pictures you can only
guess what I have used to create that piece. i love to play with
all sorts of medias. It can go anywhere from fabric to electrical
tape. Just adding a little something extra to an article can take
it from ordinary to extrodinary.....
