One of Boston's most stylish people Tonya keeps busy reporting on fashions in the city including Boston Common Magazine's column HOT LIST. Tonya also designs jewelry under her label Jewel Design By Tonya.
Gretchen Monahan is one of Boston's most successful business women who has created an empire of style, beauty and fashion. Gretta first launched Grettacole Salons in the Boston area. In 2003 she expanded with GSpa which offers an express spa for the young and hip with limited time. Gretta also has an upscale boutique, Gretta Luxe, which features hot trends from European and American designers. Today Gretta juggles her time between New York and Boston with frequent fashion and styling advice on the Rachael Ray Show and co-host of Tim Gunn's Guide to Style.

Celebrity Judges
On Thursday October 22 The Intercontinental Hotel hosted a fashion gala. The elegant night featured a three-course dinner, live auction and fashion show competition by five talented student designers from the School of Fashion Design. This special event raised $400,000 for the Faulkner-Sagoff Breast Imaging and Diagnostic Centre at Faulkner Hospital. Special guest judges and speakers highlighted the importance of The Faulkner Hostipal's, research, care and treatment for cancer. Over 450 guests were treated to an outstanding meal and a diverse collection of up-and-coming fashion designs.

Celebrity style expert Gretchen Monahan hosted the fashion show. While four distinguished judges, designers Kevin Christiana, fashion columnist Tonya Mezrich, designer Emmett McCarthy and producer and editor Lisa Pierpont evaluated each of the five students work. Each designer presented a few pieces on the runway. The designs were all different and unique making for a diverse runway show. First up was Kae Bae, whose line was based around the Chinese Knot. Second came Uruguay native Victoria Dominguez who infused bold color naming her collection Just Add Color. Third, Kelly Higgins line, American Outlaw, used deep hues of red and blue and were infused with a rock and roll lifestyle. Fourth came Kira McClellan drawing inspiration in strong and powerful women characters from Greek mythology to modern day. Jessica Lee capped off the night with Secrets of the Dead. Her line set out to tell a story through the art form of graffiti.
