Beautifully adorned tables featuring Gurgling Cod centerpieces by Shreve, Crump & Low, commissioned in light pink to commemorate the event, surrounded a modern T- shaped runway for the fashion show. As the lights went down, professional models and local celebrities appeared wearing spring fashions from Gretta Luxe, featuring designs by Yigal Azrouel, and Zac Posen. The collection was chic and wearable, with clean lined silhouettes, exquisite tailoring, and a pallet of airy spring colors. The models possessed a great energy for the event, with sleek styling perfectly complimenting the spring fashions. The show had a timeless-yet-refreshingly modern vibe, much like Gretchen Monahan herself, owner of Gretta Luxe.
Gretchen also owns GrettaCole salon, and the much loved Gspa, featured in this month's Vogue Magazine, which offers signature spa treatments perfect for busy city life. Her entrepreneurial strength as a multi-million dollar businesswoman fused with her innate style and dedication to provide Boston with avant garde fashions, beauty and spa experiences is a great inspiration. Beyond the glamour, celebrity clients and her stunning beauty, Gretchen has a great sense for genuinely empowering women. She speaks with much emotion about her involvement with the Faulkner-Sagoff center and how breast cancer has affected her family. Her hot pink dress, towering heels, and silky chestnut hair may get your attention, but her truly gracious poise and humility radiates through, and creates an even greater impact.
Towards the end of the night, a dividing partition slowly opened revealing walls splashed with aqua and violet lighting, a party band, and a dessert buffet of coffee and chocolate covered strawberries. The dance floor was instantly covered with people dancing, laughing, and celebrating the successful, glamorous evening. • Article by —Natalie King {
