You are one of the most stylish news anchors in Boston. Where do you get your inspiration from?
My personal style is a bit rebellion fueled since I have to dress more conservatively for work. I've never really been inspired by anyone or anything. I am more moved by my mood on a day to day basis. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE to pack for vacation because I can never plan my wardrobe in advance. I end up bringing everything and over packing since I don't know what my mood will be for that day. My hubby hates it because he's the one who ends up schlepping all my bags!
What is your definition of a stylish woman?
It's always so tough for me to come up with words to describe my ideal "stylish" woman. But I know one when I see her. She immediately catches my eye, and I find myself staring - actually studying - her. And I can identify those same stares at me from other women doing the same thing. Those once, or even twice-overs aren't offensive. I find it flattering!

Who is your favorite fashion icon and why?
My maternal grandmother, Melania Lazatin. I lost her when I was in my teens, but I vividly remember how she was impeccably dressed and coiffed. I would watch in awe as she got ready. What she wore or did was fashion gospel to me. Also, I think I get my shopaholic gene from her!
What is your favorite fall trend of the moment? What is your least favorite?
I cannot get enough of over-the-knee boots. I just got my fifth pair! I'm not really digging the resurgence of leg warmers. I just can't go there.
What 3 items in your closet that you can't live without?
My Birkin bag, my YSL cage sandals, my Chanel chain clutch. OK, there are four: my large Ray-Ban classic aviator sunglasses. I can go on and on if you let me! I love my accessories!
What is your favorite fashion era?
Three words: Audrey, Jackie & Grace .
