The Stylist Closet styles vintage garments for Fashion Week
By: Rosanna Ortiz Sinel
Boston stylist Terry Mahn utilized her amazing talents to style and produce the “Remix”
fashion show on Monday, September 28th. She used all vintage clothing in a modern
show that exhibited ways to wear vintage. Not only did she incorporate furs and leather
but also the beloved lace looks of the 80?s that are making a colossal comeback this fall
season.
A typical fashion show this was not. Set in a theatre where the models entered in front
of the audience at a faster pace than normal-this was more of a perfect broadway
production that it was a fashion show. Models presented by Dynasty were dressed in
vintage clothing put together by Terry to show “re-styled” ways to wear vintage. All
outfits created looked delectable and classy. From the long coats, to the boyfriend
blazers and tailored bermudas, everything that walked on to that stage I personally
wanted.
Dress for Success the non-profit organization that supplies interview clothing for women
and boots confidence for job opportunities was there to support co-host the event. Also
before and after the fashion show attendees where able to shop the vintage items they
saw on the runway. What a great way to end a fashion show!
