Shaunt Sarian showed his fall 2009 handbag collection along with furs from Surell Furs. In an intimate fashion show at the Daryl Christopher Salon on Newbury Street. Shaunt Sarian has been a staple in the Boston Fashion scene for several years and has come to be know as Boston's premiere custom handbag designer. Shaunt has been perfecting his craft for over 40 years with his foundation started in a family workshop in Lebanon.
Shaunt explains that each piece is unique and can be customized to the clients liking. Like a bag but what a different finish, color or detail? Shaunt will make it with the color, lining and details you desire. You can also be assured you will have a unique piece as each pattern and design will reach only a maximum of 25 before that design is retired.
Shaunt,s latest fall collection exemplifies his high quality and attention to detail. He calls it "My Favorites", which he incorporates some of his best styles from his past clients into the new collection. He uses fall tones with rich midnight reds and purples. He used hair on cafe or cafe skins which he explains are a much more refined material to the touch and look. Shaunt also has exotics from alligator skins, polished python and embossed ostrich. He gets is materials from Italy and France.
The second half of the show featured furs from Surell Furs. Shaunt provides Surell with details to add to the fur collection. Surell's line featured vests, hats, scarves and earmuffs. The collection shows a wide range of colors from yellow tones, browns to loud reds, pinks and purples.
Shaunt's handbags are designed for the self-assured, self-confident women in any age group. His handbags are reasonably priced starting at $150 and going up to $400 for non-exotics.
